Mandy Kennedy, CPDT, is a Bay Area native and a graduate of the University of California, Davis.

Mandy has been teaching classes, giving private lessons and consulting dog owners since 1992. She has helped clients, local shelters and other up & coming trainers to develop and execute effective training methods. Mandy was Manager of the Behavior & Training Department for the Marin Humane Society. During her 16 years in the industry, she has taught every level of obedience class, conducted canine evaluations and counseled thousands of owners and their dogs with specific behavior problems.

Mandy is certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, the only independent certification organization in the United States. Unlike private schools or online programs which issue certificates to their graduates, the CCPDT only certifies professionals who have proven knowledge, experience and who have submitted both personal and professional references.

Mandy has been a keynote speaker at several dog behavior educational conferences, speaking on topics ranging from breed characteristics, dog park protocol, dog body language, dog to dog aggression, dog to people aggression, off leash recall and evaluating shelter dogs.

In addition, Mandy has done contract work for local shelters all over the Bay Area in need of help in setting up better training & behavior guidelines for their shelters.

Mandy has relocated to El Dorado Hills with her family where she will continue with her passion of training dogs and owners. Mandy lives with a German Shepherd Dog and a Belgian Malinois.

4Paws University is excited to welcome Mandy to our team!
