Testimonials

Currently, there are no licensing or education requirements for training and behavior professionals. Anyone may advertise as a behaviorist or aggression specialist. Unfortunately, there is no recourse for dog owners when inexperienced or unethical trainers create problems or fail to follow-through on their promises.

4Paws trainers Lisa Mullinax and Kelly Ryan are certified by the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers (CCPDT) and maintain the professional and ethical standards set forth by the organization. CCPDT administers a validated, standardized examination to assess dog trainer knowledge and competency.

In 2001, The CCPDT was formed to develop a standard in the pet dog training profession. The CCPDT offers the only international, standardized certification for pet dog trainers that is independent of commercial influence. In order to maintain the integrity of the exam that is required for certification, it is administered and scored by the independent company.

Trainers who have obtained certification are held to a strict Code of Ethics. Violations of this Code of Ethics could result in revocation of certification status. This is why it is important to look for Certified Pet Dog Trainers who are held to specific ethical and professional standards and who have proven knowledge of training and behavior.

When you work with 4Paws University, you can feel comfortable knowing that you are not only working with the most frequently recommended training and behavior professionals in the Sacramento area, but that you are working with professionals who have a proven level of experience and knowledge of dog training and behavior.
